Exploring Surigao del Sur: Sibadan Fish Cage

From the enchanting Enchanted River in Surigao del Sur, this popular floating restaurant/fish hub/floating lodge known as the Sibadan Fish Cage was just a few minutes away by an outrigger boat. Sibadan Fish Cage can be reached by first passing through the Enchanted River, so while we were already there me and my berks decided to visit the famous place.
Outrigger boats/bancas were stationed at the mouth of the river. The fee was affordable and it was already a round trip negotiation. The friendly motormen patiently waited for us while we explore Sibadan Fish Cage.
Along the way we saw these wonderful sights. It took about 15 minutes or so. The water was very clear and everything were all green. This was truly nature at its best!
At first I didn't have any single hint of what Sibadan Fish Cage looked like. While our boat was approaching, I was amazed at this man-made structure. Our guide told us that the place also offers sumptuous eats, affordable overnight stays, and pasalubong items.
This was where they grew fishes of different kinds which was convenient since the area was located in the middle of the sea. When guests come by here and opt to stay for the night, food wouldn't be a problem since it will be cooked and served fresh. An adequate sized restaurant was in place in the area and when we got there, it was packed with foreign and local tourists.
I didn't expect for it to be so big. This was like a stand-alone attraction in the place. I saw this man jumped and swam across the little pond to feed the fishes. There were also different pasalubong items in the area. I only bought  a few though, just to remind me of the uniqueness of Sibadan. We stayed here for an hour or two then we went back to Enchanted River for our final swim before heading back home.
All I can say is Wow! Our visit to Sibadan Fish Cage was very worthwhile. This was a perfect side trip  to Enchanted River.

Ciao!
