Sinulog 2014 Celebration - On The Streets

The Sights...   The Sounds...   The Vibe...

One week before this prestigious festival, the streets of Cebu already becomes vibrant and lively. The Sinulog beat can be felt just about anywhere: inside the malls, in the restaurants, private establishments, public offices, bars, in the streets, etc. For me, this was a good time to explore the city since it has lesser crowd and you can also appreciate more the beauty of Cebu without any undivided attention.

THE GIGANTIC DISPLAYS
The most awaited attraction in the heart of Cebu, Fuente Osmena Circle, was these gigantic displays featuring the image of Snr. Sto. Nino. Penshoppe and Bambi Oil were among the biggest companies in the country who sponsored the said displays. I'm always excited to photographed these beautiful designs every year because each year was always different. It's free though, no payment needed. These huge displays were just right to add a little stir to the festival.

Sinulog 2014 Celebration - the Mother of all Festivals in the Philippines

Yeebah!!! It's this time of the year again. Celebrated every 3rd Sunday of January, the SiNuLOG FeSTiVaL in Cebu City is considered to be the Mother of All Festivals in the Philippines. Woooahh! That's a lot to take in.
The Sinulog Festival has greatly evolved. During my childhood days I remember seeing the colorful parade without any hassle on the streets as well as going to the church, Basilica Minore del Sto . Nino, very smoothly. Now lots of things have changed.

Exploring Surigao del Sur: The Gigantic Tinuy-an Falls

Tinuy-an Falls is probably the biggest and the widest waterfalls that I've ever seen in my existence.
It is measured at 95m wide and 55m high and is more likely compared to the famous Niagra Falls.  The moment I laid my eyes on this magnificence it made me realized how glorious nature was. Everything was in the right place. My Surigao adventure never ends and surely there's more captivating sights yet to be found.

Exploring Surigao del Sur: Sibadan Fish Cage

From the enchanting Enchanted River in Surigao del Sur, this popular floating restaurant/fish hub/floating lodge known as the Sibadan Fish Cage was just a few minutes away by an outrigger boat. Sibadan Fish Cage can be reached by first passing through the Enchanted River, so while we were already there me and my berks decided to visit the famous place.

Exploring Surigao del Sur: The Enchanting Hinatuan Enchanted River

This was the first time I've been to Surigao del Sur. I don't think I would ever be here without my beautiful friend who resides in this place. The wonderful places in Surigao del Sur I would say were really hidden, cared under the embrace of mother nature. I've never realized how big and well known the place was until that moment.
